Oakland Post: Political Candidates Pledge to Refuse Donations From Coal Terminal Developer

I’m proud to have signed the pledge to refuse donations from those trying to transport coal through Oakland.

There are drastic inequities in the way air pollution impacts the residents of California. The residents of West Oakland are already exposed to high levels of pollution, coal dust should not be added to it.
I agree with the No Coal In Oakland campaign in believing that “environmental justice and protection of the climate can go hand-in-hand with redevelopment of Oakland’s waterfront.”
