Supporting UC as it admits record numbers of transfer students

As someone who transferred to a four-year university from Sierra College, a community college in rural Northern California – this news makes me so happy! Our community colleges are one of our most important ladders of opportunity for those from more humble backgrounds. My story of growing up in a trailer, to working for President Barack Obama in the White House, would not have been possible without our California community colleges!
