I’m running for Assembly and here’s why

May 30, 2017 | Blog

It’s official. As of today, I am running to be the next California State Assemblywoman from District 15 in the East Bay.
Like so many of you, I woke up on November 9 with a gnawing fear in the pit of my stomach. As the mother of a new baby girl, I have extra motivation to contribute to a better, more hopeful future. I’m fortunate to live in a region that largely rejects President Trump’s hateful rhetoric and dangerous agenda, but if you know me, you know I’m not one to wait for a change in leadership in Washington to try to make a meaningful difference for people in my community and across our state.
We’re kicking off a campaign today to bring bold, progressive solutions to the East Bay and to the people of California. We can be the leaders in showing that the progressive way is the best way to govern. But a great organizer once told me that the only way we make change in this country is from the bottom up. That starts right here, right now – with you and me.
Can I count on you to buy-in early and contribute today? With your support, we can turn this moment into a true movement not just for me, but for us.
Will you join our campaign today? Help us start strong by donating now.
I’m thrilled to have you on board.
